and have found a life-changing experience and a second chance to do things right
The Adult Programs are successful in assisting individuals find freedom from addiction, assist in restoring broken relationships and rebuild the individuals self esteem. The research that has been done through the years on the graduates of Teen Challenge suggest 86% of those graduates are living a life free from addiction, are attending church, and are employed.
At Teen Challenge, Christ-centered counseling is at the heart of what we do. We are all about facilitating life transformation one person at a time, giving people a second chance at finding a happy and fulfilled addiction-free life through God’s transforming grace.
We believe teaching faith in Jesus Christ alters the behavior and instills positive values that allow the entire person to heal. Teen Challenge firmly believes, and results show, that an addict establishes a personal relationship with Jesus Christ if he wishes to find permanent freedom from the bondage of addiction. This central spiritual dynamic is the foundation upon which all aspects of the Teen Challenge program are built.
The scope of Teen Challenge has grown over the years, and now serves adults as well as teenagers. There are about 1100 Teen Challenge campuses worldwide, which provide Christian recovery services to individuals of every age and social background. Typically, these services are long-term residential recovery centers which provide a life-encompassing environment through which the participant is able to change their lifestyle and develop a plan for a future free from addiction. Another core tenet of Teen Challenge is drug abuse prevention, which educates young adults on the dangers and reality of drug abuse in our society.
